2011 Pinot Noir, Green Valley of Russian River, Tina Marie Vineyard -- $45
Fresh Bing cherries, ripe blueberries and pencil lead define the first aromatics off the 2011 Tina Marie. More floral (violets) and perfume aromas begin to emerge with a peppery spiciness in the background. On the velvety palette juicy pomegranate emerges. White chocolate, licorice and cinnamon is also apparent. There is some fresh acidity on this wine, with slightly softer tannins, suggesting more youthful drinking. The wine should develop nicely over the next 4-5 years (2016-2017).
